Ms. Sana Mansoor, Senior Partner

Sana is a Certified Practicing Accountant from CPA Australia. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) from Griffith University of Australia. She is also a senior member of the Chartered Practicing Accountants (CPA) of Maldives and a Category ‘1’ MIRA Licensed Tax Agent.

Sana brings over 30 years of experience in the field of Assurance, Risk Management and Accounting Services. Prior to joining FJS Associates, she was the Chief Financial Officer of State Trading Organization PLC. She also served on the Board of Directors of STO from November 2008 to May 2012. She joined STO in May 1988 and has held a number of senior positions during her tenure.

Furthermore, she served on the Boards of STO Lanka Pvt Ltd and Maldives Structural Products Pvt Ltd, and has held the post of Chairperson of Allied Insurance Company of the Maldives. She has also served on the Board of Maldives Stock Exchange Company Pvt Ltd and Maldives Securities Depository Company Pvt Ltd.

Ms. Fareeha Shareef, Managing Partner

Founder and Managing Partner of FJS Associates, Fareeha is a Chartered Accountant with over fifteen years’ experience in strategic management, financial and business planning, auditing, training and socioeconomic research. Fareeha has worked with a number of major organizations including the State Trading Organization Plc, Maldives National Shipping Limited, Maldives Tourism Development Corporation, Housing Development Corporation Ltd, Bank of Maldives Plc and international developmental agencies including UNDP, FAO, IFAD, WHO, the World Bank and Asian Development Bank.

Prior to joining FJS, Fareeha worked in KPMG Ford Rhodes Thornton and Co, Sri Lanka as a Junior Advisor in the Risk Advisory Section of the firm where she worked with a number of prominent companies based in Sri Lanka undertaking audits and advisory engagements.

Fareeha is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK), Senior Member of the Certified Practicing Accountants of UK and Maldives, Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (USA), and Institute of Corporate Directors and Secretaries (Maldives). She served as the Chairperson of Bank of Maldives PLC (the national bank) for the financial years 2015-16 & 2016-17. She also served on the Board of State Owned Enterprises such as Maldives Pension Administration Office and the Maldives Housing Finance Corporation PLC.

Mr. V Surendran Menon, Technical Director

Surendran Menon is a Chartered Accountant (FCA) and Management Accountant with over 31 years of comprehensive experience in transaction, risk management and assurance services, management and cost accounting, corporate finance, secretarial, tax and other business / financial advisory services in Maldives and India.

Menon is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, a member of the Institute of Cost
& Works Accountants of India.

His vast experience includes 7 years as Country Head at PricewaterhouseCoopers, Maldives and over 13 years managing assurance, accounting, risk management, and advisory assignments for several clients in diverse industries in Maldives, which include
